Work Inspired
Wake up. Roll out of bed. Walk dog. Walk to the gym. Workout. Make protein shake. Shower. Open computer. Open energy drink. Work. Walk dog again. Microwave lunch. Work more. Eat dinner. Walk dog again. Work more. Clean house. Read. Write. Repeat.
Some of my best days are days which on paper sound like a nightmare to most people—working from sunrise to sunset. But, why is something that the world demonizes so much fun?
Work can suck for a lot of reasons. You hate what you do. You aren’t good at it. You have no autonomy. You’re underpaid or underappreciated.
But, here is what the world gets wrong about work.
Work should not be easy. You should be in an environment that challenges you and forces you to improve. Work, and more specifically entrepreneurship, gives you the opportunity to create something you can be proud of. It gives you the canvas to paint your reality. Every day is something new and exciting, and your effort will create your future reality.
The goal should be to feel inspired when you crack open your computer, like a dog waiting for a ball to be thrown. Counting down the seconds until you can attack life. Until you find something that attracts your attention and energy like that you have not found the fit for you.
The scariest opponent is one who enjoys suffering, and who is smiling when everyone else around them is cursing their existence.
“My paradise is in the shadow of my sword.”
Friedrich Nietzsche
