While You Wait Life Speeds By
Time is your most precious resource. Yet, most people are horrible at using it.
They spend time with people they don’t care about, who don’t care about them, doing things they don’t care about. They work 9-5 for a company they don’t care about, and a company that doesn’t care about them. Their 8 waking non-work hours are spent in a coma-like state passively absorbing Netflix or the news. The sharpness of their life is dulled by excessive drinking, excessive dopamine, and lack of ambition.
Most people trudge through life like a sloth stuck in quicksand only understanding the value of the time they’ve wasted after they realized it is finite. Our time on this Earth is limited.
Time doesn’t care about you. It doesn’t care what you had for breakfast, that you got a parking ticket, or that your hot water heater went out. Time will continue on at its constant pace. Stealing your life right out from under your nose one second at a time.
So stop waiting. If you want to do something do it. Be bolder than you ever thought you could be. Let’s say you fail. You ask the pretty girl or boy out and they say no. Will that matter 100 years from now? No, it won’t, because virtually everyone currently living on this planet will not be alive, including you.
Look in the mirror, slap yourself, and do something great.
