Quality of Life
This past week I got a heated blanket.
I never would have expected that a heated blanket would be one of the biggest quality of life improvements I have ever experienced. Let me explain.
My room has always been notoriously cold, it is the type that you walk into and you always feel the temperature go down a few degrees. It isn’t necessarily uncomfortable, but it isn't necessarily comfortable.
Most nights when I go to bed, I have to plug in my little space heater or else I wake up feeling like an icicle. No matter how many blankets I would throw onto my bed, I would never quite feel the perfect temperature, and always felt like that was limiting my quality of sleep.
With the heated blanket this changed everything.
A heated blanket feels like a warm towel fresh out of the dryer being wrapped around you. That feeling of just complete bliss.
I knew when I got it that it was going to solve the cold-at-night issue, but what I did not expect were the other benefits that came along with it.
I have never slept better in my life and I feel more relaxed and focused
At first I thought it was just coincidence that all these positives happened around the same time, so I did some googling. It turns out that heated blankets have been shown to both improve sleep and improve general mood (DYOR, this just came from one google search). Why has no one ever told me this? I always thought that heated blankets were antiquated technology from a bygone era, but that is not the case. Heated blankets can improve your overall Quality of Life.
This got me thinking. What are other things that can improve your overall quality of life.
Here are a few that came to mind: Working out, Reading, Creating genuine friendships, and of course, heated blankets.
Focus on improving your quality of life. You wont regret it.
