Good News Is Created
We all love to hear good news.
The client signed. We got the job. Our mile time improved.
Yet, we have this tendency to believe that good news happens by chance. Where good news just falls from the sky.
While that may happen on rare occasions, most of the time good news is the result of effort.
We create our good news. We direct our focus toward creating the good news that we want to hear. We create our outcomes.
It is easy to sit and complain when we feel like we only get bad news. Where things just never go our way. We blame the world. We play the victim. We gripe and moan that we can’t catch a break.
We have this incorrect view that because we got bad news then good news has to come next, and we just need to be patient. Similar to the incorrect notion that your previous role of the dice has any impact on your current role.
We get in our heads. We twist reality to fit the narrative we create. We fail to embrace the fact that effort creates desired outcomes.
Embrace that fact.
Effort creates desired outcomes. When things go wrong push harder. Imagine you are arm wrestling and the second your opponent starts to get the upper hand you give up. What is going to happen? You’re going to lose. You can’t throw in the towel.
Create the outcomes you want to see. Be the rainmaker that brews that storm that rains down good news.
