Change
Change is all around us.
Change is natural.
Change is inevitable.
Everything changes.
Why do we fight change?
Why do we resist change?
Why do we think we can stop change?
Doesn’t that just seem silly?
What if we could harness change?
What if we could use change to our advantage?
What is stopping us?
Change is scary.
Change fosters uncertainty.
Change makes us feel uneasy.
Why should you step out from underneath your shelter of comfort into the wind-whipped world of change?
Change brings opportunity. Whenever there is a seismic shift in an industry, that is perhaps the best time to act. It is during those periods of great change that new fortunes are created and old fortunes are forced to either pivot or fadeaway into history.
There will always be those afraid of change. Those who are comfortable. They say things such as “Why would I want Car, I already have a Horse and it works perfectly fine.” They are the ones who will be left behind, they are the consumers who are going to pay market price for the future rather than being on the front lines creating it.
But, what if they are right? What if a horse does actually work perfectly fine? How crazy are you going to look when you are wrong! That’s fine. If the fear of the opinions of the naysayers is driving your decision to remain passive in the face of great opportunity then what will it take?
Work to not fear change but rather celebrate it for change is the rainmaker of new fortunes and opportunities. Learn to look out for change, hang around people who are always on the bleeding edge of technology. Learn to be comfortable with people thinking you’ve lost your marbles, because then they wont bother you with their naysayer opinions.
